WHO WE ARE
Christel Cranko
Principal
Christel started off her educational journey in a well-established and leading pre-school which ignited her passion for education. She went on to Cum Laude her Honours degree at the University of Natal. She worked at an ACE school and some years later opened up a Cambridge curriculum focussed school in Johannesburg. Additionally, Christel also provided corporate training consulting and counselling to adults and troubled teens for approximately 10 years. She is currently studying her Masters in Education through CPUT. Christel established Joshua College along with Martine in 2019. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the school and is passionate about equipping children for success and protecting them from the emotional devastation that can so easily occur in a school environment. She believes that with a strong work ethic, training in self-discipline, love and support, children can flourish, learn to love knowledge and be given the best opportunity possible to reach their potential.
Martine Jarman
Vice Principal
Martine did her teacher training at The Johannesburg College of Education. After spending some years in adult training and teaching, she returned to her true calling; the education and nurturing of children. Martine is passionate about quality education that does not compromise on the overall well being of the child. She felt that establishing a school where this ethos of the highest international standard, with a strong moral code and a loving environment with Christian values was one of the few options available for her teaching career. For this reason she joined forces with Christel to achieve this goal and started Joshua College.
Landi Archer
Teacher
Landi studied her B.Ed degree at Stellenbosch University. She started her teaching career at an ACE school and spent 8 years teaching grades 1 to 3. Then she spent 4 years at Vergezicht Remedial School focusing on grade 4’s and 5’s. Landi brings 14 years of teaching experience to Joshua College.   She finds joy in watching children grow from being unsure and insecure to thriving and confident little students. She is an integral and valuable part of our team.
